We work across three main areas that support one another — none of them can exist sustainably on its own:
CULTURE
We organize concerts, exhibitions, craft workshops, film screenings, and more that revive local heritage while also creating space for contemporary creativity.
EDUCATION
We organize and host the Alter Agro Festival, permaculture workshops and seminars, discussion forums, literary readings, Debate Club events, and more.
AGRICULTURE
We are building a demonstration biodynamic garden where we sow and grow einkorn wheat, rye, fruits, vegetables, herbs, and flowers. We also carry out reforestation efforts and care for biodiversity.
COMMUNITY
Our joint work across these three areas is what builds our community. For the past three years, our community has organized open-air screenings of Bulgarian films during the summer, and for the last year we have been part of the Cinema in the Village network, hosting screenings of contemporary Bulgarian cinema.
Our gardening community is already exchanging seeds, ideas, and practices, and is actively involved in building the demonstration garden in the schoolyard.
To make this possible, we are launching a fundraising campaign for the first and most important stage — repairing the roof.
